How the G.R.I.P. Affiliate Program Works & Common Questions
How Does It Work?
To become an Affiliate Partner, all that is necessary is for you to fill out a simple application. Then, just copy and paste the HTML code onto your Web site to establish links to the G.R.I.P. site. These links will contain a unique code that identifies your account to ensure that you are credited for all sales that are generated by your site. When a visitor clicks on one of these links and makes a G.R.I.P. purchase, Commission Junction, our third-party provider, tracks your code, calculates your commission, and provides you with real-time reporting, and your monthly commission checks.
Commission Junction requires you to create your own personal and secure account. You can log into your account at any time to obtain G.R.I.P. banners and text links, and find out about the commissions that you have earned. All links from your site to the G.R.I.P. site contain your site’s unique Source ID.
Who Can Be a G.R.I.P. Affiliate Partner?
G.R.I.P. works with Affiliate Partners of all types. Anyone may submit an application. G.R.I.P. reviews each and every potential Affiliate Partner before accepting you into our network. We evaluate each application in good faith and will notify you of your acceptance or rejection. We reserve the right to refuse a site, at our sole discretion, if the site is deemed unsuitable for our program. Unsuitable sites include, but are not limited to, those that:
- Promote sexually explicit materials;
- Promote violence;
- Promote illegal activities;
- Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age; and
- Violate intellectual property rights.
If your application is rejected, you are welcome to reapply to our Affiliate Program at any time. It is important to note that if G.R.I.P. accepts an application, and your site is thereafter determined, at our sole discretion, to be unsuitable for our Affiliate Program, we may terminate the agreement at any time.
Do I need to sign any kind of agreement?
There is nothing for you to sign. However, you must agree to our Affiliate Terms & Conditions before joining the program. For a copy of the Terms & Conditions, click here.
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no charge to participate for qualified applicants. There is no application fee and no minimum sales requirement. However, you must agree to abide by our Affiliate Terms & Conditions.
Can a Web site based out of the United States be a G.R.I.P. Affiliate Partner?
We are only able to accept Affiliate Partners that are based in the United States. Currently, G.R.I.P. is only able to service and ship to customers in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
How do I create links to G.R.I.P.?
It’s easy. We offer all the tools that you need to link directly to G.R.I.P. Once you sign up and are approved for our Affiliate Program, you will have access to a variety of banners, buttons and text links that you can add to your site, promoting the relationship. You can log into your account through Commission Junction at any time to see a list of our available banners. Once logged into Commission junction, select Golf Research In Play in the Current Merchant Affiliate area. You’ll now see our information page. Choose “Show Links.” Pick your desired link and select “Get HTML.” Copy and paste the HTML code to your Web page.
How many links can be made to G.R.I.P.?
An Affiliate Partner can make as many links, both banner and text, as you feel appropriate.
Can an Affiliate Partner link its site to G.R.I.P. and to other online retailers at the same time?
G.R.I.P. does not prohibit its Affiliate Partners from linking to multiple online retailers. Although, we believe that you will be more profitable if you limit the number of retailers that you promote to your customers.
What if an Affiliate Partner has more than one Web site?
We recommend adding the G.R.I.P. Affiliate Program links to all of your Web sites. Tracking will also take place through Commission Junction. All of your sites will be listed under one account.
If I am a Web site designer, can my Web site be a G.R.I.P. Affiliate Partner?
Yes, you can. You can link to the G.R.I.P. site and sell products just as any other site would. However, you cannot place your Web site’s links on sites that you create for your clients. Your clients would need to establish their own accounts.
As an Affiliate Partner, can I use the G.R.I.P. name, logo and other content on my site?
As an Affiliate Partner, we will provide you with access to a number of banners, buttons and text links that you can use on your site. However, you may not alter any of the G.R.I.P. materials without obtaining express written permission from G.R.I.P. You must also obtain permission prior to using any third party’s copyrighted materials.
What are my responsibilities as an Affiliate Partner?
As a G.R.I.P. Affiliate Partner, you are responsible for setting up links to www.gogrip.com in the appropriate areas of your site, updating them frequently, and directing your visitors to the G.R.I.P. site.
What are G.R.I.P.’s responsibilities?
G.R.I.P. promises to provide its Affiliate Partners with the tools and content that you need to set-up a successful G.R.I.P. affiliate relationship. We will also track all orders from your site, calculate fees due, and work with Commission Junction to make sure you are paid in a timely manner.
Tracking & Payment
How much will I be paid?
You can earn the following on Qualifying Orders:
Commissions are based on merchandise total and exclude shipping and handling charges, and taxes.
When will I be paid?
You will be paid monthly. Commission Junction will send you a consolidated monthly payment for commissions earned through all your merchant partners. Earnings are automatically sent out every month via check to all Affiliates who have accumulated at least $49.95 in their account. There are no invoices to send and no data to track. Everything will be taken care of by G.R.I.P. and Commission Junction. For our Affiliate Partners earning more than $600 in a year, 1099’s will be issued for tax reporting purposes.
If a customer doesn’t initially buy anything, will I still get paid when they go back to the G.R.I.P. Web site?
You will earn a commission for an order placed up to 45 days after the initial click, even if the customer does not purchase immediately after clicking on the affiliate link. It is important to note that there can only be one referring site, so if a customer comes to us from more than on Affiliate Partner site within the 45 days, the last referring site receives credit for the customer.
